As lifelong residents, my wife (Becky Littlefield) and I are passionate about and deeply committed to Orem. I’m a BYU graduate and ran the Orem Geneva Times for over 30 years. I’ve worked closely with city councils, city officials, and served on Summerfest Committees (Chairperson 2006), Recreation (Chairperson 1999) and was the Youth Baseball Commissioner two years. I’m a Chamber of Commerce and Utah Press Association (over 30 years including serving as President in 1991)–civic club member. My work and civic experience has made me a good listener. I have vision, experience and time to represent Orem as YOUR City Council member.
I’ll focus on:
- Family-Friendly policies and positions, beautifying and preserving neighborhoods, and controlling impact of traffic flow and roadways in our neighborhoods.
- Carefully managing city resources to avoid tax increases.
- Keeping Orem’s Public Safety on top. Utah’s best police officers and fire fighters must have the latest technology and facilities to protect Orem citizens.
- Developing Cultural Arts to compete with any program or facility in Utah.
- Organizing UVU, BYU, Alpine District and Orem efforts in growth, expansion, and education.
I invite you to contact me and to use this website to learn more about my vision for our Orem.
